GPNA Meeting Tuesday, October 18th At 7:30PM

The Grant Park Neighborhood Association (GPNA) meets Tuesday, October 18th at 7:30pm in Room 316 of the Georgia-Hill Facility. All residents and property owners of Grant Park are members after signing the register at one meeting. Members are allowed to vote at their second meeting.

The Georgia-Hill Facility is located at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Hill Street.

Burns Mansion Costume Ball Saturday, October 29th

Unleash your inner witch at the Burns Mansion Costume Ball on Saturday, October 29th at 8:00pm. The event will be held at the Burns Mansion, located at 622 Grant Street, SE.

This year's events will include a DJ, dancing, a VJ show, ouija board stations, raffle prizes, hord'vors and a cash bar. Readings will also be available again this year in the turret rooms!

Proceeds from this year's ball with benefit the Grant Park Conservancy. Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 the day of the event, if available. A costume is required, but a donation of $20 in leau of costume will be accepted. To purchase tickets, please call (404) 229-6923 or stop by the Grant Park

Lost Puppy Needs A Home

Lily was found under a car on Estoria St. early in the morning two weeks
ago. She had no collar and was very scared. Over the past weeks she has
been house trained and crate trained. (She sleeps a full night without a
sound). She has had her shots-she is about 25 lbs. and I think she is 4
months old. My best guess for breed is Akita/Lab. Lily gets along great with other dogs, loves to play fetch and is so sweet.

Re-Zoning for 'Cherokee Lots' Coming Before GPNA in October

The property subject to proposed re-zoning is on Cherokee Avenue, from Augusta Avenue to Grant Park Place. This property is owned by Zoo Atlanta, which has been seeking to sell the property. About two years ago, a potential developer sought to purchase the property and applied for re-zoning but its development proposal was not accepted by the neighborhood and they withdrew their application.
