About the South Atlanta News Exchange (SANE)
The news exchange was developed to reduce redundancy in managing local information.
It pulls together news and event information from local neighborhood associations, schools and parent networks.
Participating organizations vote on priority development areas for the online system.
During recent years we’ve expanded tools for neighborhood security patrols and added family directory services for parent networks and local preschools.
We've been sharing news between local websites since 2004 when SAND and Glenwood Park joined the DreamStudio database system.
Our system development was initially funded largely by work with Hands On Atlanta. More recently we've expanded services with Georgia State Parks and the Georgia Department of Economic Development. The most recent neighborhood site to join the system is
West End Atlanta.
The local websites are hosted on servers at
BroadRiver Hosting next to Georgia Tech.
Please contact
Loren at DreamStudio for additional information about hosting or updating your website.
