You're invited to check out the Friends of Ormond-Grant Park Group page on Facebook. The group was formed as part of an effort to apply for grants and raise funds to renovate the park. There is a Mother's Day picnic planned. The friends group is guided by the Grant Park Neighborhood Association's Parks & Rec Committee, partnered with the Grant Park Parents Network, and Park Pride.
Ormond-Grant Park is located between Atlanta Ave and Ormond along Grant Street. It is a lovely little park with trees and play equipment. The Friends group focus is to improve this park so more children will play here. The goal is to add toddler-size appropriate play equipment, swings, benches, and a covered picnic area. Additionally, the existing play equipment needs to be replaced and ideally sun-shades erected.
