Historic Committee  DetailsEvents

We technically meet twice per month due to the AUDC reviewing Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) applications for building permits twice per month. Our official business meeting is on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm at the Grant Mansion (Atlanta Preservation Center) on St. Paul Ave (this usually has it fall the night before the GPNA meeting - however not this month (July 2008), we are the week after). Our committee also informally meets the 1st Thursday of each month along with the Grant Park Land Use and Zoning committee since most of our members attend the GPLUZ meeting also.

Applicants for COA's are invited to schedule time to review their historic considerations at either meeting and if they have Land Use concerns they can technically get both subjects reviewed on the first Thursday.

Again, to note, because of the holiday the GPLUZ meeting was moved from last Thursday to tomorrow (10th) evening. LUZ meets at 7pm at the ARC building of the Zoo off the side entrance from the Cherokee AVe parking lot.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you would like to schedule to be placed on either agenda. I can contact Rick Hudson, GPLUZ Chair if you would like to meet with our joint committees tomorrow evening.

-The architectural review committee concept was refined and is still under development. Look for a final draft at the March committee meeting. A Grant Park neighborhood photo "design book" will be produced as part of this effort.

-The Home History Workshop will be held on a Saturday morning in May. Exact date is still being nailed down according to the schedules of our speakers. The presentations this year will get some refinem
